We have defined the reference framework for measuring brand presence in generative AI engines: 13 proprietary metrics across 8 dimensions, from AIRI™ to AIS™.
All FAIV™ metrics are generated through the use of the solutions included in CORE™. Each dimension has a reference page with definition, methodology and a real example.
The scale
All FAIV™ metrics score from 0 to 100.
Four maturity levels define which phase your brand is in for each AI visibility dimension.
0–25
Invisible
AI barely recognizes you in this dimension. Starting point for any visibility strategy.
26–50
Emerging
Incipient presence, very inconsistent across engines and contexts. AI is starting to pick up some signals.
51–75
Established
Solid presence. AI knows you in most relevant contexts and includes you regularly.
76–100
Reference
AI positions you as an authority source in your category. Spontaneous mention in most relevant responses.

Group A · Traditional SEO Metrics
Metrics the positioning industry has used for decades. Still relevant as a baseline but do not measure generative AI presence.
Click-Through Rate
Click-to-impression ratio in classic search results.
Domain Rating / Domain Authority
Domain authority measured by Ahrefs or Moz. Weak signal for AI.
Search engine position
Google/Bing ranking. Low correlation with generative AI visibility.
Inbound link profile
Quantity and quality of domains linking to your site. Indirect impact on AI.
Group B · GEO / Generic AI Metrics
Metrics the GEO ecosystem has adopted to measure generative AI presence. Useful, but they do not capture all the dimensions that matter.
Citation frequency
Percentage of AI responses that include your brand. GEO analysis starting point.
AI share of voice
Relative presence of your brand vs competitors in AI responses.
Position in AI responses
Order in which your brand appears in model responses.
